After initially doubting that I would be able to get through a whole bag because this was so intensely strong, following a few mugs of this, it has become the yardstick coffee against which all others flounder and fall.
I've tried a number of the other Melitta coffees but their Monsooned Malabar is just amazing. I love the rich dark and complex flavour with a hint of dark chocolate.
There's something deeply satisfying with this blend from the first to th elast sip.
I mainly drink it, after hand grinding, using my Melitta AromaElegance Deluxe filter machine, with milk, but it also makes a very intense espresso shot using my Dedica espresso maker.
I tell everyone I know who likes coffee blend about this because I really don't want to drink anything else.
If you like a rich, powerful and complex blend that isn't bitter (when brewed in the right machine) then look no further!
Me and my household have been regular drinker of Melitta Malabar and this is our most favourite roast. We have tried all other Melitta coffees, but nothing beats the Malabar. Not acidic and leaves a subtle taste of dark chocolate.
My favourite beans, balanced taste and smooth flavour.
Love it !
Monsoon coffee beans have for a long time been my favourite BUT these I found extremely bitter. Even after a few cups to allow my taste buds to adjust was still as bad as the first cup. VERY dissapointed!
