Award-winning coffee enjoyment
Our brewing process ensures optimal development of the coffee flavour and thus excellent coffee enjoyment. Thanks to the pre-infusion function, the freshly ground coffee powder is dampened briefly before the actual brewing process, i.e. before your coffee is brewed with a perfectly adjusted contact time between the water and coffee.
Optimum coffee flavour
\"Thanks to the “Bean to Cup” function, only the required bean quantity will be freshly ground and used for the selected coffee.* For an even more intense flavour, you can select the IntenseAroma function instead of the standard brewing profile without having to change the coffee or water quantity. To ensure that the aroma of the coffee beans is also retained in the bean container, the lid has been specially tinted dark and equipped with a special Aromasafe® seal. * Note: coffee from the previous variety may be left over in the mill system after you manually switch the coffee beans and should not be left unused. Therefore, the complete switch to the new type will take a maximum of two to three cups – depending on the brewing strength setting.\"
Maximum individuality
In addition to the brewing strength (five settings) and the grinding fineness (five settings), you can also adjust the temperature, coffee quantity and brewing profile to your individual taste. So you do not have to reset your personal coffee preferences every time you brew, the \"My Coffee\" function lets you store up to four individual profiles. In “Double Cup” mode, you can also prepare two cups of numerous coffee specialities at the same time with or without milk. “FreeStyle” mode in the Connect app also allows for maximum individuality. It sets no limits for your creativity and you will soon become a home barista.
18 Coffee recipes – original preparation
The four classics, espresso, café crème, cappuccino and latte macchiato, are selected directly with a single, light touch on the touch sensor button. You can select 14 additional coffee variations such as flat white, ristretto and americano via the menu. The “Italian Preparation Process” in which the ingredients are combined in the correct order using an original Italian recipe, ensures a particularly authentic taste. This means that, for latte macchiato, the espresso is added after the milk and the milk froth. For cappuccino, it is the other way round.
Manual Bean Select
The “Manual Bean Select” dual-chamber bean container allows you to choose between two different bean varieties. You can set the right bean variety for your favourite coffee. The integrated ground coffee chute also allows you to use coffee that has already been ground.

Low-noise cutting edge technology: thanks to the extremely quiet grinder, your conversations will no longer be interrupted and, you will not wake anyone up in the morning, when you make your coffee. Melitta® Connect app
The Melitta® Barista TS Smart® is easy to operate via the display. Alternatively you can also control this automatic coffee maker via the Melitta® Connect app. The app allows you to store personal profiles, change appliance settings and read tips on how to clean your automatic coffee maker. The special highlight: FreeStyle mode allowing you to become a home barista. You can customise the preparation sequence, the desired ratio of coffee, milk froth and hot water as well as other coffee settings.

Height-adjustable all-in-one outlet
“All in One” and still kept neatly apart: the separate nozzles in the dispensing outlet for coffee, milk and hot water allow simple preparation of a wide range of beverages. Very simply at the push of a button and without moving the cup. Glasses and tall cups also fit under the height-adjustable dispensing outlet (140 mm) – the integrated LED lighting presents your favourite coffee in the proper light and adds to the pleasant anticipation of your moment of coffee enjoyment.
Simple cleaning
It is important to clean your automatic coffee maker on a regular basis to ensure it works perfectly, gives you the best coffee flavour and has a long life. The display on your Barista TS Smart® tells you when cleaning or descaling is required, and guides you through the process with simple step-by-step instructions. The brewing unit is simple to remove so you can also clean the interior easily. Furthermore, we recommend using a Melitta® Pro Aqua water filter. It filters the water every time you dispense a beverage ensuring true coffee flavour and optimal taste. It also prevents limescale deposits in the water circuit meaning you only need to descale your automatic coffee maker once a year.* * This figure is based on a 120 ml cup fill level with six dispensing processes per day and six filter changes according to the appliance information.
Cleaning milk system
Since hygiene – above all with milk – plays a very important role, cleaning is particularly efficient and fast with this automatic coffeemaker. The “Easy Steam Cleaning” function featured in the Barista T Smart® cleans all milk system parts hygienically with hot water and steam at the push of a button. The milk system is also removable. The supplied milk container can be connected to the right or left of the outlet, simply kept in the refrigerator and cleaned in the dishwasher.
Conscious operation
For the sake of the environment: our Melitta® automatic coffeemakers have a practical Auto OFF function in addition to a programmable energy-saving mode. This allows you to set the automatic switch-off time for your coffeemaker – for particularly economic usage. Of course, you can alternatively switch the appliance off manually via the 0-Watt switch. We have also developed our own sustainability label called Mission Eco&Care. It will help you choose an appliance that guarantees conscious enjoyment.

Nice machine
We've had the T Smart for 2.5 years now and no problems at all. Makes coffee drinks, including those with milk, reliably. And they're quite good! I used to have a manual and this is so muhc less mess and hassle.
Good not great
Fell in love with this machine and it was great when I was making black based coffee then I added milk to the process and was saddened with the results. The only heat was coming from the coffee, my machine doesn’t heat milk and I don’t see the point of heating milk in microwave first. If that was the case I would have kept my NESPRESSO and milk warmer/frother!

I have owned this machine for just over 2 years and was initially very pleased. However after 2 repairs to fix it making cold coffee 6 months after the warranty expired I have the same problem again. For such an expensive machine I expected at least 5 years use. Very poor for a "premium" brand.
Great coffee machine.
Great coffee machine just a shame about the machines ocd for cleaning itself after each use but won't be without my coffee machine now love it.
