Where can I dispose of my kettle at the end of its service life?

Electrical appliances do not belong in domestic waste. Therefore, please dispose of the appliance in an environmentally friendly way via suitable collection systems. Appliances marked with this symbol are subject to the European Directive for WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). The aim of this EU directive is to avoid, reduce and environmentally dispose of the increasing quantity of electronic waste. You can obtain information on collection points for electronic devices from your city and regional administration.

How do I clean my kettle?

Use a soft, damp cloth and a little washing up liquid to clean the outside. Never clean the appliance or the appliance cable under running water or submerse it in water. Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.

How do I descale my kettle?

Limescale deposits in the appliance are unavoidable. Only regular descaling ensures that your kettle works perfectly. Descale as soon as a noticeable layer of limescale has formed in the kettle. Use Melitta® Anti Calc liquid descaler or Melitta® Anti Calc Bio Multi Usage liquid descaler for descaling. After descaling, you need to perform two to three boiling processes with clean water (maximum quantity) to remove residue of the descaling agent.
