With the cappuccinatore, you can froth milk directly into the cup from the milk carton or from a vessel. Insert the hose from the cappuccinatore directly in the milk and place a cup under the cappuccinatore. Press the steam dispensing button. As soon as the symbol for the valve lights up, turn the rotary regulator to the "Milk froth" position. The "Milk froth" function is active when the symbol on the rotary regulator points upwards. Turn the valve switch clockwise up to the stop to open the valve. When you have obtained the desired quantity of milk froth, turn the valve switch anticlockwise up to the stop in order to close the valve.
The drip tray should only ever be emptied when the appliance is switched on. If you empty it while the appliance is switched off, this will not be recognised by the appliance sensor and can lead to error messages. Pull out the drawer while the appliance is switched on and then reinsert it.

a) The cappuccinatore rotary regulator could be in the wrong position. Check whether the rotary regulator is in the "Milk froth" position. b) The cappuccinatore may be clogged. For thorough cleaning, pull the cappuccinatore off the steam pipe and disassemble it. Do this by pulling the milk froth/hot water nozzle and the air intake pipe from the connecting piece. Rinse all parts under running water. In particular, clean the air intake pipe. Re-assemble the cappuccinatore in reverse order. Push the cappuccinatore onto the steam pipe up to the stop.
With the Solo® & Perfect Milk, the respective coffee bean strengths produce the following coffee powder quantities:
1 bean -> approx. 7.5 g
2 beans -> approx. 9.5 g
3 beans -> approx. 11.5 g
By turning the water quantity regulator, you can infinitely adjust the coffee quantity between 30 ml and 220 ml. Turn the regulator to the left to obtain less coffee. Turn it to the right to increase the coffee quantity.
There is air in the lines inside the appliance. Please fill the water tank and press the button for brewing strength. The pump in your appliance is now reactivated. After venting, you can dispense coffee again.
If the symbol is then still lit up, perform the following steps:
1. Check whether the water filter is inserted and remove it if necessary. Then, perform the process described above again.
2. Clean the brewing unit in accordance with the operating instructions for your appliance and perform the process described above again.
3. Perform cleaning and descaling of the machine and then carry out the process described above again.
a) The water tank may possibly not be inserted correctly. Make sure that the water tank is engaged in the retainer at the rear.
b) The float for indicating the water level might be jammed. Remove the water tank, empty it and shake the water tank until the float moves freely again.
Too little or no coffee has been ground. Fill up the bean container with new coffee beans. Restart the brewing process.
The drive may possibly not be in the correct position. Check whether the water tank is filled and the drip tray is inserted. Switch the appliance OFF and ON again and then press the coffee and steam dispensing buttons simultaneously for longer than 2 seconds. The drive moves into position. Then reinsert the brewing unit and check that it is correctly locked.
Make sure that the appliance is switched off at the start of cleaning or descaling.

The brewing unit may possibly not be locked correctly. Unlock the brewing unit and lock it again. If the display is still flashing, remove the brewing unit, insert it again and lock it.
First allow the cappuccinatore to cool down properly and wipe it down on the outside with a damp cloth. Pull the cappuccinatore from the steam pipe. Pull the milk hose, the milk froth nozzle and the ascending tube off the connecting piece. Clean all parts thoroughly under running water. Re-assemble the cappuccinatore in reverse order and push it onto the steam pipe.
To adjust the grinding fineness, open the cover on the right-hand side and prepare any coffee drink. Move the grinding fineness adjustment lever to the left with the grinder running in order to set a finer grinding fineness or to the right to set a coarser grinding fineness. Please note that the grinding fineness may only be adjusted when the grinder is running, as the grinder may otherwise be damaged. Then close the cover again.
